7 Sprinklr alternatives in 2026, now that self-serve is gone

Anil SalviCMO and co-founder, BrandRobin

You can no longer buy a small Sprinklr.

Until this spring there was a self-serve version: a card, a login and a social plan you could start the same afternoon. Sprinklr discontinued it, and the last self-serve accounts stopped on 30 April 2026. Today the only way in is a sales conversation, and the company's own annual report says most of its contracts now run for two to three years.

That is a sensible strategy for Sprinklr. Its report says it deliberately cut its customer count from 1,930 to 1,677 last year, with an "increased focus on top-tier enterprise customers". It is a less sensible place to be if you are a marketing team that only ever used one corner of the platform.

In nine years as a CMO, the most expensive software I bought was rarely the software with the highest price. It was the suite where we paid for five modules and lived in one. If that is your Sprinklr contract, renewal is the moment to price the module you actually use on its own.

That is what this post does. Ours is on the list, first, which you should weigh. I have given it the same box of pros and cons as everyone else. Everything below was checked on each vendor's own website, pricing page or public filings on 29 October 2026.

Why teams leave Sprinklr

Three things come up, and only one of them is the price.

There is no small door any more. The self-serve plans were the way a regional team or a single brand could use Sprinklr without joining the enterprise contract. That door closed in April. The pricing page now returns a 404 and the free trial page now asks for a demo.

The term is long. Sprinklr's filing for the year to January 2026 says the majority of its subscription contracts have terms of two to three years. A three-year term is a fine trade if the platform is your system of record for customer care. It is a long time to commit if you mainly read social listening dashboards.

It takes a while to get value. G2 reviewers of Sprinklr's service and insights products mention a steep learning curve, setup and customisation that take time, and dashboard implementation they describe as time-consuming. One G2 reviewer of Sprinklr Social called cost "the biggest issue".

None of that makes Sprinklr a bad product. It is a very complete one. The question is whether you need the whole of it.

The short list

Prices and trials read from each vendor's own pricing page on 29 October 2026. Sprinklr's contract terms are from its annual report for the year to 31 January 2026.

How I compared them

I looked at the same five things for every tool:

  • Platforms covered. Which channels each one names, and which of them sit behind a higher plan.
  • Pricing. What is published, what is quote-only, and what you have to commit to before you see your own data.
  • Accuracy. Whether the results stay relevant once the keywords get broad, which is where most listening tools start to drown you.
  • Reviews. The complaints that repeat across reviewers, attributed, not the five-star averages.
  • AI capabilities. Whether the AI answers a real question from your data with sources, or summarises a chart you could already read.

First, decide which third of Sprinklr you are replacing

Sprinklr is three products sold as one platform. Most teams use one of them every day and the other two occasionally.

Customer care. Routing, case management, agents and an inbox your support team lives in. If this is your daily use, you need a care platform, and the honest shortlist is short: a suite with a real service desk.

Publishing and engagement. Scheduling, approvals, a social inbox and paid social. This is the part social media managers log into, and it is the most competitive corner of the market, priced per seat.

Listening and insights. What people say about you and your competitors in places you do not own. This is the part a marketing lead or a brand team reads, and it is the easiest to buy on its own.

Pick the third first. Comparing a care desk with a listening tool is how teams end up re-buying a suite out of habit.

Ours, and first because it is ours. Hold it to the same standard as the six below.

Ours

Best for
Teams that only used Sprinklr for listening, and want that part without a suite contract
Starting price
From $39 a month, or $31 a month billed annually
Free trial
7 days, no card

Pros

  • Mentions and buyer signals sit in separate feeds, so someone asking for a product like yours is not buried under someone who merely said your name.
  • An AI analyst that answers from the mentions in your workspace, with a link to the post behind every claim.
  • Spike alerts measured against your own normal volume, delivered to Slack, Teams, email or a webhook.
  • Unlimited users on every plan, and the last 30 days backfilled on day one, so the first report is not empty.

Cons

  • No publishing, inbox, care desk or paid social. This replaces one third of Sprinklr, not all of it.
  • Not real-time: Starter checks every 6 hours and Pro every 3. Hourly checks are on Enterprise.
  • Starter reads Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Reddit and Hacker News. Review sites start on Pro, and news, blogs and the open web on Enterprise.
  • A young product, with no broadcast, print or private groups.

Why it is on this list: because listening is the part of a Sprinklr contract that is easiest to lift out, and the part where a three-year term is hardest to justify. If your care team needs Sprinklr and your brand team does not, this is the split.

Sprout Social

sproutsocial.com/features/social-media-listening
Sprout Social's social listening feature page
Best for
Social teams replacing Sprinklr's publishing and inbox, who can price listening separately
Starting price
$79 to $399 per seat a month billed annually; listening is an unpriced add-on
Free trial
30 days, no card

Pros

  • Published per-seat prices for every plan below Enterprise, which Sprinklr no longer offers at any tier.
  • A consolidated inbox from Standard, and review management alongside it.
  • The listening add-on includes Smart Categories, sentiment, custom spike alerts and machine-learning content filters.
  • G2 reviewers mention ease of use and scheduling most often, across thousands of reviews.

Cons

  • Listening is an add-on to Standard and above, and its price is not published.
  • Per-seat pricing grows with the team: five seats on Standard is $995 a month before listening.
  • A G2-syndicated reviewer calls the price the biggest drawback, with listening locked behind an even more expensive add-on.

My take: the most natural move for a social media team that lived in Sprinklr's publishing and inbox. Price the listening add-on before you sign, because it is the line that changes the total. I went through that maths in detail in our Sprout Social alternatives breakdown.

Hootsuite

hootsuite.com/talkwalker
Hootsuite's listening page, powered by Lumen by Talkwalker
Best for
Teams that want publishing with light listening now, and an enterprise listening upgrade later
Starting price
$99, $199 and $399 per user a month billed annually; Enterprise is custom
Free trial
14 days, no card

Pros

  • Owns Talkwalker, now Lumen by Talkwalker, so the deep listening tier is a real research product.
  • Professional includes Quick Search across up to 30 days of conversations.
  • A Lumen Agent launched on 7 October 2026 for quick searches over the last 7 days, without a separate Lumen account.

Cons

  • Instagram, LinkedIn and Reddit listening are Enterprise-only, and the Enterprise price is not published.
  • Hootsuite's own pages disagree on history: one says 13 months on Enterprise, another 2+ years.
  • G2's review summary lists high pricing compared with tools of similar features as a notable downside.

My take: good value if publishing is the job and listening is a nice-to-have. If listening is the reason you bought Sprinklr, the channels you care about most are on the plan Hootsuite does not price.

Emplifi

emplifi.io/products/social-listening
Emplifi's social listening product page
Best for
Brands that need a full suite like Sprinklr, with a price on the page
Starting price
Essential from $1,249 a month, Advanced from $2,499; listening is an add-on
Free trial
Demo only

Pros

  • The only full suite here that publishes a starting price, with unlimited user licences on every tier.
  • Social marketing, care and commerce sit on one platform, which is the shape most Sprinklr teams are used to.
  • A Crisis Kill Switch pauses scheduled posts during an incident, linked to spike detection in listening.

Cons

  • Listening, including Reddit, is a separate add-on with no published price.
  • No free trial; the route in is a meeting or a free assessment.
  • G2 reviewers mention missing features (25 reviews) and technical issues (18 reviews).

My take: the closest like-for-like swap if you genuinely use all three thirds of Sprinklr. The difference is that you can see a number before the first call, which says something about how the conversation will go.

Khoros

khoros.ai
The Khoros homepage
Best for
Large brands where community and care are the centre of the contract
Starting price
Not published
Free trial
Demo only

Pros

  • Aurora AI for communities and Iris AI for social media management, relaunched together in April 2026.
  • Iris AI covers publishing, listening across 187 languages, engagement routing and response recommendations.
  • Built for very large programmes: the company cites 300+ enterprise communities.

Cons

  • IgniteTech acquired Khoros in May 2025, and the products were rebuilt in 2026, so check the roadmap you are buying.
  • No published price and no trial.
  • Khoros does not name the social channels it listens to on its homepage.

My take: a care-and-community decision more than a listening one. If your Sprinklr use is mostly the service desk, put it on the list. If it is mostly dashboards, it is more platform than you need.

Brandwatch

brandwatch.com/products/consumer-research
Brandwatch Consumer Research product page
Best for
Insights teams replacing Sprinklr Insights with a deeper research tool
Starting price
Not published, quote only
Free trial
Demo only

Pros

  • Consumer Research is a serious research product: custom classifiers, image recognition and posts back to 2008.
  • Social Media Management sits alongside it, so publishing and listening can stay with one vendor.
  • G2 reviewers value how it turns complex data into insights they can act on.

Cons

  • No public price. Cision's UK public-sector price list starts Consumer Research at £10,800 a year, plus paid onboarding.
  • Print, broadcast and podcasts are paid add-ons on that same price list.
  • G2 reviewers mention a steep learning curve for advanced queries and dashboards.

My take: a lateral move rather than a saving. If you are leaving Sprinklr to get away from a long enterprise contract, check the term before you trade one for another. I set out what Brandwatch costs, and what replaces it, in our Brandwatch alternatives post.

Meltwater

meltwater.com/en/suite/social-listening-analytics
Meltwater's social listening page
Best for
Comms teams that care about press coverage as much as social
Starting price
Not published; tailored pricing with a 12-month minimum
Free trial
Demo only

Pros

  • Media intelligence, social listening and media relations in one contract.
  • Mira AI, AI spike detection and alerts delivered to Slack or Teams.
  • API and MCP integrations on the Enterprise plan.

Cons

  • A 12-month minimum contract, stated on its own pricing page, and no self-serve trial.
  • Which channels you get, including TikTok and Reddit, depends on package and region.
  • Capterra reviewers say they charge separately for everything.

My take: the right call when the press desk is the main user. If the job is social listening alone, you are paying for a newsroom you may not use.

How to run a fair trial

  1. 01

Start two trials on the same day

Same week, same keywords, same competitors. Results from different weeks are not comparable, because the conversation itself moves.

  2. 02

Use a thread you already know about

Pick a post from last month that mattered to you. A tool that cannot find a conversation you know exists will not find the ones you do not.

  3. 03

    Read 50 mentions by hand

Count how many are actually about you. Relevance is the number no demo shows you, and it decides how much of your week the tool costs.

  4. 04

Ask each tool one real question

Something your boss asked last month, like why sentiment dropped. See which tool gets you to an answer you would forward, with the posts to back it.

If you are still working out what a fair budget looks like, what social listening actually costs breaks the category down by the four things every vendor prices separately. And if a crisis is what pushed you to look, how to handle a social media PR crisis covers the first hour, whichever tool you pick.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sprinklr still have a self-serve plan or free trial?

No. Sprinklr discontinued its self-serve products, and service for existing self-serve customers ended on 30 April 2026. Its free trial page now leads to a demo request, and the old pricing page returns a 404.

How long is a Sprinklr contract?

Sprinklr's annual report for the year to 31 January 2026 says the majority of its subscription contracts have terms of two to three years. Earlier filings described an average closer to 18 months, so terms have lengthened.

Is there a single tool that replaces everything Sprinklr does?

Emplifi and Khoros come closest, because both cover publishing, customer care and listening on one platform. Most teams find they used one part of Sprinklr heavily, and replacing that part on its own is usually cheaper than replacing the suite.

What is the cheapest Sprinklr alternative with social listening?

Of the tools in this post, BrandRobin has the lowest published listening price, from $31 a month billed annually. Sprout Social and Hootsuite publish lower per-seat prices for publishing, but their deeper listening is an unpriced add-on or an Enterprise feature.

Can I keep Sprinklr for customer care and replace only listening?

Yes, and it is the most common split. Care platforms are hard to move because your support workflows live in them. Listening is a read-only job, so it can move to a separate tool without touching how your agents work.

The short answer

Sprinklr is now an enterprise platform sold on enterprise terms. If you use all of it, Emplifi or Khoros are the like-for-like conversations, and Brandwatch or Meltwater if insights or press are the centre of gravity. If you used one third of it, buy that third on its own: Sprout Social or Hootsuite for publishing, and a listening tool for the conversations you do not own. That last part is the one we built BrandRobin for.
